The British Isles Soccer Tournaments Association (BISTA) is a voluntary association of soccer tournaments held in Britain and Ireland that sets standards for its accredited events. Its aim is to offer assurance to teams planing participation in a British or Irish tournament.

BISTA accreditation is only granted to tournaments that have been approved by their home football governing bodies and meet the Code of Practice set by BISTA. This Code of Practice deals with matters such as :

• Emphasis on sportsmanship
• Quality grass fields, properly lined
• Nets on all goals Corner flags
• Qualified match officials
• First aid facilities
• Changing accommodation

Compliance with the Code of Practice is monitored by a visiting BISTA official.

Each BISTA tournament has a procedure for dealing with complaints.

BISTA tournaments comply with Government and EU regulations.
